School Time

Back to school...
Jordan didn't want the summer to be over yet, but it's that time of year again. Jordan started 2nd grade today.
This is Jordan with his 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Hampton.
Alyssa has been extremely excited to start 1st grade. She talked about it almost everyday over the summer break. She was so happy to be going to school today, although she had second thoughts when she got there and realized the day lasts quite a bit longer than kindergarten did. Her teacher is really sweet though so I know things will be just fine.
This is Alyssa with her 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Erickson.

Happy 50th Anniversary

What a cute couple!...Grandma and Grandpa celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary! To think that they have been married almost twice as long as I have been alive that is just incredible to me. We went to Red Lobster to enjoy a nice dinner.

Everyone was laughing at me because I was standing on a chair so I could get high enough and far enough away to (or I should say try to) fit everyone in the picture. I had half the resteraunt staring at me and looking at me pretty wierd because I was standing on the chair but I did manage to get a decent shot of everyone. And "everyone" is...starting with Alyssa, Sherry, Tiffany, Brandon, Uncle Sherman, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Ethel, Melinda (Scott's girlfriend), Scott, Josh, Travis, and Jordan.

Uncle Sherman (Grandma's Brother) was able to even able to come to town, from Louisianna
and Aunt Ethel was there too.

How often are kids have the oppurtunity
to celebrate a 50th Anniversary with their Grand-Parents!?! I think that's so very cool.

It was a very sweet night!
Happy Anniversary Grandma and Grandpa....Lots of Love!!!

We Love our Grandpa Mark!

It's a seldom occasion when Grandpa Mark will allow someone to take his picture and it's even more rare for him to smile in a picture, although he couldn't resist when the kids wanted to take a picture with him.
I love this picture!
